From the Principal's Desk

Dear Wharton Families,

I hope you were able to rest and relax during the break. This first week back at school was a time for our teachers to reconnect with their students and revisit expectations. We are ready to make 2023 a wonderful year!

I wanted to share some staff news with you. Mr. Ruben Gomez has accepted a principal position at Mangum Elementary and will begin in this new role in the coming weeks. We will miss him and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Today, HISD released its proposed 2023-2024 academic calendar. Please review it and provide feedback by January 18, 2023.

As a reminder, there will be no classes on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. We will see your students back on Tuesday, January 17.

Principal
