SUBJECT: Wharton DLA Newsletter - Back to School Edition

August 21, 2022
From the Principal's Desk

Dear Wharton Families,

Thank you for joining us at Meet the Teacher on Friday. We hope you're as excited as we are for the start of a new school year.

You may have heard that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released its annual report card for all Texas public schools last week. We're so proud that Wharton received an A rating and four distinctions: Academic Achievement in Math, Academic Achievement in Science, Top 25%: Comparative Closing the Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness. Thank you to our students and teachers for their dedication and hard work!

This week's newsletter is focused on helping you navigate the first day of school. Please read the information carefully.

We can't wait to see you on Monday!

Jennifer Day
