Nurse's Notes

Dear Parents,

Screenings are next week. I am precepting 2 nursing students in October and am planning to get a lot done! We will start hearing, vision, and acanthosis nigricans (pre-diabetes indicator) in PK, K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th grades.

Handwashing clinics will also be done in the lower grades utilizing these nursing students.

I am excited to have Kirsten Harden from Hais High school interning on Fridays. She is interested in the health field (neuropsychology) and hopes to learn from our students. She is a proud graduate of Wharton!

The positivity rate is going down, but we still had 2,937 positive cases in the Houston area. See the COVID TMC Takeaways.

Thank you!

Nurse Dana
