Your Ultimate PTO Back-to-School Guide: Stay Connected & Update Your Info!

 

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Wharton DLA! A successful year starts with great communication. To ensure you never miss an official announcement, monthly PTO newsletter, or grade-specific update, please complete this quick 3-step checklist.

 

UPDATE WHARTONPTO.ORG (MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT) PROFILE | PTO VOLUNTEER INFORMATION | STAY CONNECTED (COMMUNICATION CHANNELS) 

 

1. Update Your WhartonPTO.org Profile (Membership Toolkit)

Keeping your profile updated ensures you receive PTO communications, your student(s) receives spirit wear orders, and more.

  • New Families: Go to whartonpto.org and register for a Membership Toolkit (MTK) account.
  • Returning Families: Log in to whartonpto.org to verify your information.

How to update your student's info in MTK:

  • On the red, horizontal menu bar, click My Account -> My Forms/Paperwork.

  • Under Contact and Student Information, click Family Information.

  • Verify your Parent/Guardian info, click Next Step, and update your student’s 2026-27 Grade, Classroom/Homeroom Teacher, and T-shirt size.

  • Click Save at the bottom of the page.

 

2. Explore PTO Volunteer Opportunities

  • Complete the Volunteer Interest Form: Fill out the form directly inside your Membership Toolkit account once your profile is updated.

  • Register for VIPS (Opens August 10): You must register annually through HISD to volunteer on campus, help with school events, or chaperone field trips!

3. Stay Connected Across Our Communication Channels

Make sure you are set up on our core platforms to stay fully in the loop throughout the school year:

 

School Communication: ParentSquare (Download ParentSquare app and ensure your account is registered)

The school's official platform for campus-wide news, urgent alerts, and direct messages from teachers.

 

PTO Communication: ParentSquare and WhartonPTO.org (Register and update your WhartonPTO.org (Membership Toolkit) profile)

The main home for monthly PTO newsletter details, spirit wear shopping at La Tiendita, fundraising, and event sign-ups.

 

WhatsApp Community Chats (*WDLA Community chat is now open*)

WDLA Community Chat is now available. Please review our WhatsApp Guidelines before posting!

Please join your respective grade level chat(s) within the WDLA community.
