Give Back While Shopping for Supplies

Office Depot: Wharton will receive 5% back in credit for FREE supplies when you make a purchase of qualifying products at Office Depot or Office Max and provide your “school” ID at checkout. You can also shop online! School ID: 70097779

Plus, Office Depot on West Gray (1576 West Gray St.) has selected Wharton as its sponsored Title I school. Shop at their location and donate to their School Supply drive benefitting Wharton classrooms.

Mabel's Labels: Label your students' belongings in style with Mabel's Labels. Head over to campaigns.mabelslabels.com and search for Wharton Dual Language Academy. Wharton gets 20% back.

School Hours

School hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Drop-off and dismissal instructions will be sent out before the start of the new school year.

Important Dates

PK-1st Grade Summer Playdates

Wharton PTO will be hosting summer playdates for new and rising PK-1st Grade families. Join us on:

August 19, 9 AM - 10:30 AM
Wharton DLA Spark Park (900 West Gray)

August 9 & 10: Wharton Middle School Bridge Academy
Middle school students are invited to attend a three-day academy at Wharton from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Students will receive important information regarding middle school policies, curriculum, clubs, after-school activities, community service, and more.

August 9: 6th Grade Only - Please bring lunch
August 10: 6th, 7th and 8th Grades - Lunch will be provided

August 24 & 25: Meet the Teacher

Parents and students are welcome to visit Wharton to find out classroom assignments, meet their teacher(s), and visit classrooms. Due to the large volume of visitors, Meet the Teacher will take place over two days as follows:

August 24 (5 - 6:30 PM): Grades 3rd-8th
August 25 (5 - 6:30 PM): Grades PK - 2nd

Parking will be limited, so please carpool or walk to school if you live nearby.

You will also be able to meet other families, learn about our PTO, pick up car rider and walker passes, drop off your child’s school supplies, become an official Wharton volunteer through VIPS, and enjoy popcorn!

August 26: Middle School Parent Social (5-7 p.m.)

Join middle school parents for a parents night out at Postino in Montrose. Please RSVP to Dawn Cole at dawn@whartonpto.org

August 28: First Day of School

Welcome back, Wharton Eagles!

August 28: Boohoo/Woohoo Event for Parents (8:20-9 a.m.)

Join Wharton PTO for our first day of class Boohoo/Woohoo event! We’ll have coffee and donuts for parents. Come meet or catch up with our Wharton family!  Event will be held in the community room near the Pre-K/Kindergarten entrance off West Gray.

September 7: Wharton PTO Dads' Club Social (4:30-6:30 p.m.)

Our first Wharton Dads' Club Social will be held at St. Arnold’s Brewery. Questions? Contact Brandon Newton at brandon@whartonpto.org

September 13 & 14: Open House (6-7:30 p.m.)

We encourage you to attend Open House, where you will have an opportunity to learn more about your child's classroom, IB units and learning objectives for the year.

September 14 | Pre-Kindergarten through 4th Grades

On both evenings, PTO will be selling Find Your Path shirts and stickers in the cafeteria starting at 5:30 p.m.

September 20: Coffee with the Principal (8:45 AM)

Join Principal Jennifer Day, the Wharton leadership team, and PTO representatives in the Wharton cafeteria for the first Coffee with the Principal of the year to get important school updates.
