We hope to see you on campus on Saturday, November 1, for Wharton's annual Fall Festival! Please read the following information before you go.

 

Fall Festival Entrance & Parking

The pedestrian entrance to the festival will be on Columbus St. 

Parking is not available on campus during the festival this year.

We encourage you to walk, share a ride, or use the limited street parking.

Please do not park in neighboring businesses' parking lots or block driveways.

WDLA Campus is also located directly on multiple MetroHouston bus lines. You can plan your trip at ridemetro.org

 

  

 

🎟️ Tickets, Wristbands, and T-Shirts

Admission to the festival is free, but you'll need a wristband or tickets to play games and buy concessions. 

 

Tickets and AYCP wristbands will be available for purchase at the Ticket Booth on the day of the event. A limited supply of Fall Fest tees will be available for sale at the Ticket Booth.

  • AYCP wristband: $30
  • Tickets: 10 for $10  |  30 for $25

Forms of payment accepted will be:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • Cash

 

🎪 Festival Highlights

  • Concessions: Wharton will have a concession booth selling water, soda, juice, chips, and pickles available to purchase with tickets.
  • Activities: Get ready for an action-packed afternoon! Alongside our games, we have: 
    • Inflatable Obstacle Course (3rd-8th Grade)

    • Bounce House (PK-2nd Grade)
    • Petting Zoo & Rock Painting

    • Face Painting, Balloon Artists, and Vendors with live demos!

    • Take a photo with beloved Coco characters: Miguel, Héctor, y Mamá Imelda and experience the soundtrack live!

  • Día de Muertos Ofrenda: Experience the beauty and meaning of our community Ofrenda, a heartfelt tribute honoring loved ones and celebrating the rich traditions of Día de Muertos. 
    • Feel free to bring a COPY of a picture (please NO originals) to place on the ofrenda. If you write your child's name and teacher on the back, we will do our best to get the picture back to you.
  • Entertainment: We’re honored to feature two incredible performances celebrating La cultura
    • Heights High School Mariachi Band will fill our festival with the soulful sounds of México.

    • Kinder High School for the Performing And Visual Arts: Global Grooves Ensemble will be blending rhythm and harmony in a captivating performance that showcases young local talent.

✅ Festival Tips

  • Festive Attire and Costumes Encouraged! We look forward to seeing Catrines y Catrinas strolling around! Please no masks, no fake or real weapons, and nothing scary.
  • Bring a Reusable Bag to carry home prizes, treats, and goodies from El Mercado.
  • Bring Cash in small bills as some vendors may prefer cash for faster transactions.
