Morning Mile

Morning Mile begins Monday, September 9
Who: Students from 1st grade and up. Kinder and Pre-K students are welcome with a parent.

Where: Field on W. Clay side of Wharton

How: Enter via W. Clay car or pedestrian entrance. Children will exit cars at the cafeteria crosswalk.

When: Daily, from 7:45am until official drop-off begins. Students are escorted across the drop-off line as a group at 8:20AM. Rain cancellation is posted on What's App Grade Level chats ~ 7:15am.

Bring the family right next door to Pizaro’s Pizza for WDLA Spirit Night. Come before or after our Open Houses on August 28th and 29th between 4-9 pm. Let them know you are from WDLA!

What is a Classroom Ambassador?

Classroom Ambassadors serve as a bridge between the teacher and parents. The goal of the Classroom Ambassador program is to lighten teachers’ loads by supporting your students' teachers in various ways so they can focus on classroom instruction. Learn more about the Class Ambassador role in our Ambassador Brochure. 

Interested in becoming a Classroom Ambassador?

Indicate your interest by logging into whartonpto.org, click on "My Account" and "Family Information"; you'll see a drop-down question "Are you interested in becoming a Class Ambassador." Click "Yes", "Next Step" and "Save" or take a moment to complete our Volunteer Interest Form in English or Spanish by Thursday, August 22nd to be considered for a Class Ambassador position.
