Hello parents!

We are excited to share with you the incredible learning happening on our campus every day. Our teachers are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction that challenges and engages our students, ensuring they grow academically and develop a love for learning.

Last week, our 8th-grade students participated in a hands-on science lab that brought their curriculum to life. They reviewed key concepts, such as the Law of Conservation of Mass, the understanding that matter is composed of atoms and molecules, evaluating the accuracy of data, and refining scientific explanations (8.6C, 8.1E, 8.1F, and 8.5B).

In 7th grade, students have been honing their reading comprehension skills using the DACEP strategy—an effective approach that helps students Develop questions, Analyze text, Connect ideas, Evaluate meaning, and Prove understanding. They applied this strategy to an excerpt from “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls, a powerful memoir that offers rich opportunities for deep thinking and discussion.

Our 6th-grade students have been working closely with Ms. Valles in their Spanish class, where they focused on “Estableciendo los personajes y escenarios,” or establishing characters and settings. This activity is critical in helping students understand how to create vivid and engaging narratives, laying a strong foundation for their writing skills.

We are proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our students are showing in their studies. Below, you’ll find photos capturing these moments of engagement and learning. We encourage you to ask your child about what they’ve been working on in class—they have a lot to share! Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place of academic excellence.
