Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is D’Arcy La Rotta, and it is a true honor to serve as your child’s new school nurse at Wharton Dual Language Academy.

I bring over a decade of nursing experience to this role, having worked in diverse settings such as
the Trauma Surgical ICU and Labor and Delivery. My educational background includes a
Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. My passion for
people, learning, and new experiences led me to both journalism and nursing.

I grew up in Houston but can make myself home anywhere. As the youngest of seven, I learned
invaluable skills in collaboration and cooperation. My family remains a top priority, and I
cherish spending time with my husband, Alex, our two daughters, Celeste and Inez, and our
beloved pets, Oscar, Enzo, and Kalli. In my free time, I like to explore parks and places, host
parties, dance, ride my bicycle and read.

While school nursing is a new chapter for me, I am thrilled to contribute formally to the
exceptional Wharton DLA community. As a parent of students here, I have witnessed firsthand
the school’s incredible spirit and dedication to its students.

I am committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all students. Please don’t
hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. My goal is to nurture the light within
each child and create a welcoming and comfortable clinic.

I look forward to a wonderful school year filled with growth, learning, and wellness.

Sincerely,

D’Arcy La Rotta, RN
