🦅 Eagle Family Newsletter Update: Building Positive Relationships at School 🦅
Dear Eagle Families,
At our campus, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where every student feels supported and ready to learn. As part of this commitment, we want to partner with you to be proactive in addressing student behavior and preventing bullying.
Understanding the Difference: Bullying vs. Conflict
It's important to know that not every disagreement between students is bullying. Here’s a helpful way to tell the difference:
Bullying
Repeated, intentional behavior meant to hurt, embarrass, or intimidate another person.
Involves a power imbalance (such as physical strength, popularity, or access to information).
The target feels helpless and unable to defend themselves.
Examples: Repetitive name-calling, physical harm, threats, repeated exclusion from a group.
Conflict
A disagreement or argument between individuals where both have equal power.
Typically not intended to cause lasting harm.
Both sides may be upset but are capable of working through the issue or seeking help.
Examples: Friends arguing over a game, students disagreeing on how to complete a project.
No matter what the situation, we encourage all students to speak up and seek help from a trusted adult!
What to Do If Your Child Is Being Bothered at School:
We teach and encourage a simple four-step process to help students handle concerns:
1. Tell the Teacher: Encourage your child to inform the teacher right away if someone is bothering them.
2. Remove Themselves: If possible, they should walk away and find a safe, calm space.
3. Let a Parent/Guardian Know: Talk openly at home about what happened.
4. Follow Up with the Teacher: You or your child can check in with the teacher to ensure the situation has been addressed.

Working Together for a Strong Eagle Community
Together, by staying proactive and supportive, we can help all of our Eagles soar! Thank you for continuing to partner with us in teaching our students how to build positive friendships, resolve conflicts peacefully, and stand up for themselves and others.
If you ever have concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or contact our front office. We’re here to help!

🚗 Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders 🚗
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we wanted to send a gentle reminder about car line etiquette during drop off and pick up time.
Please remember:
- Be courteous to our neighbors by keeping driveways and business entrances clear — it helps everyone get where they need to go with less added stress.
- Do not enter the school gates to line up before 3:40 PM. Arriving early can disrupt the flow we’ve worked hard to establish. If you arrive before 3:40, you may be asked to loop around and rejoin the line.
Let’s help each other out by keeping the line moving safely and considerately. Thanks for your patience, kindness, and teamwork—almost there!
