ISA Language and Cultural Assistant: Host Family Needed
Wharton will be hosting Ms. Kaoutar Najim Ech Chatoui from Spain who will serve as our Spanish Language and Culture Assistant this school year. The purpose of the assistant is to enrich the dual language educational experience of our students and to promote cultural exchange within our school community. In the past, we've had families host the Language Assistant for a semester or the entire school year.
For more information, click here and if you are interested in hosting from September 1 through April 30, please contact Ms. Silva at ana.silva@houstonisd.org.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
- Parking on campus: To ensure that parking spots are available for our teachers and staff so they can be ready for our students on time, the school asks that parents/guardians do not park in any of the school parking lots between 7:15-8:45 am. Please adhere to the parking guidelines and "No Parking" signs in the map above.
- Parking off campus: Do not to park in surrounding business lots, and avoid blocking any driveways or bus lanes.
- School Zones: Please slow down. School zones are in effect in the morning from 7:45-8:45 am and 3:35-4:20 pm.
- Red Zone: The car line forms along Columbus St. across from the front office facing West Gray. Only left turns are permitted into the parking lot during drop off and dismissal. Do not to enter the gates until the gates near the soccer field are opened by school personnel, at 3:40. If you enter before 3:40, you may be asked to exit and return to the end of the line.
- Siblings: Families with more than one student will drop off and pick up at the youngest sibling’s designated zone.
Please exercise courtesy and patience as we settle into a routine over these next few weeks.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to facilitate a smoother start to the school day!
